Write for Us
Opere Varie welcomes thoughtful, original articles from writers who share our dedication to insightful content. We seek well-researched pieces that engage our general readership with fresh ideas and clear communication. If you have a unique perspective and a passion for sharing knowledge, we invite you to contribute.
Who We Are Looking For
We work with writers who demonstrate expertise and a professional writing style. Our contributors include academics, journalists, researchers, and subject matter experts. We value clear, concise writing that educates and stimulates discussion. We seek individuals committed to factual accuracy and ethical reporting.
Topics We Cover
Our articles generally fall into categories that blend culture, history, science, and the human experience. We publish pieces that consider how various elements shape our understanding of the world. Examples include:
- **Art and Design:** How visual forms, architecture, and creative works influence our perception and well-being.
- **History and Society:** Investigations into historical events, cultural movements, and their lasting impact.
- **Psychology and Well-being:** Articles exploring human behavior, cognitive processes, and pathways to mental balance.
- **Philosophy and Ethics:** Discussions on fundamental questions, moral principles, and their real-world applications.
- **Science and Nature:** Accessible explanations of scientific discoveries, natural phenomena, and environmental topics.
We are interested in articles that offer depth without relying on academic jargon. Your submission should broaden our readers’ understanding of a chosen subject.
Submission Guidelines
- **Word Count:** Articles should be between 800 and 1,500 words.
- **Originality & Exclusivity:** All submissions must be entirely original work. They must not have been previously published elsewhere, including on personal blogs or other websites. We require exclusive publishing rights for accepted articles.
- **Accuracy & Sourcing:** Every factual claim, statistic, or quote must be accurately cited. Provide sources using in-text links to reputable websites or clearly listed references at the end of the article. Wikipedia, personal blogs, and forums are not considered reliable primary sources.
- **Style & Formatting:**
- Use a clear, engaging, and professional tone.
- Break up your article with clear headings and subheadings (H2, H3).
- Use short paragraphs, typically 2-4 sentences long.
- Utilize bullet points or numbered lists where appropriate for readability.
- Submit your article as a Google Doc or Word document.
- **Images:** If you suggest images, ensure they are high-resolution and that you possess the necessary rights or they are available under a Creative Commons license for commercial use. Please include proper attribution. We reserve the right to select or replace images.
What We Do Not Accept
- **Promotional Content:** We do not publish articles intended to promote a specific product, service, company, or individual.
- **AI-Generated Content:** All submissions must be written entirely by a human author. We do not accept content created or heavily assisted by artificial intelligence tools.
- **Previously Published Work:** Do not submit articles that have appeared anywhere else, in any format.
- **Low-Quality or Unsubstantiated Content:** We do not accept pieces lacking factual basis, proper sourcing, or a professional writing standard.
How to Submit
Please send your submission or pitch to [email protected]. In your email, include:
- Your full article draft (as an attachment or a shareable link to a Google Doc) OR a detailed pitch outlining your article idea, key arguments, and target word count.
- A short author bio (2-3 sentences).
- Links to 1-3 previous writing samples or your online portfolio, if available.
Review Process & Compensation
Our editorial team reviews all submissions. We aim to respond within 2-3 weeks of receiving your email. If your article is accepted, we will contact you to discuss compensation details. Payment rates depend on article length, complexity, and other factors decided upon acceptance.
